Subject:Cleaning your yoga mat!

Hey all, do you guys have some tips on how to clean my yoga mat the most effectively?
I took it in the shower with me a couple days ago, and scrubbed it down with some dr. bronners almond castile soap....not such a great idea. I don't think all of the soap washed out, I hung it outside to dry for an entire day, then took it back inside. I tried using it and it felt sticky and semi-wet. (Very uncomfortable, considering I was tempting some new moves and I was sliding around...AWKWARD!)

Is there a quicker way for it to dry or a more effective way of washing it so I don't have that problem? Should I spend the ridiculous amount of money to buy a yoga mat spray from whole foods? I think that stuff costs a load... well... (more than I think it should be) Any ideas would be lovely. I Did check the memories & didn't find anything 100% useful yet. Thanks a load~
